A New England Native, percussionist Matt Bronson has carved his way into the world of music with a unique skill set and educational background. Receiving a bachelors degree in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University, and Master of Music Degree (Percussion Performance) from the University of Minnesota Duluth, Matt has a diverse musical background which finds him both at home in the concert hall and classroom.
An active freelance percussionist, Matt has performed with, The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, The Minnesota Ballet, The Connecticut Patriots Fife and Drum Corps, Quey Percussion Duo, The Danbury Symphony Orchestra, Shoreline Steel Band, and was a founding member of the Cadets2 Drum Corps. Aside from his varied performing experience, Matt has also taught and arranged some of the most successful marching band and percussion ensembles in the state of Connecticut, most notably WGI Medalist, Norwalk High School.
Matt has had the pleasure of studying various forms of percussion with David Smith, Patrick Smith, Gene Koshinski, Tim Broscious, Ben Toth, Shane Shanahan, Sandeep Das, and Brendan Mason.
